What do the placeholders in the e-mail as well as Word templates mean? 

When creating e-mail as well as Word templates, you can work with placeholders. The placeholders are automatically filled with information relevant to the message or document - for example, a placeholder can be used to automatically insert the sender's name without having to rewrite the message.
