Workflow configuration
How can I configure a workflow / approval process?
Step1 "Create a workflow template"
Open the app settings via Settings (dropdown next to your name, top right). In the app settings (left menu bar), select "Workflows" and then "All workflows"
Click on "Create workflow" to open a window with the following selection options.
Name
Choose a title that lets you know which process is to be approved.
Description
This is optional. Add any other information that is useful to you.
Entity
Select the type of workflow (e.g. leave request, target agreement, publishing a job etc.)
Trigger
Select which action will trigger the workflow / approval process. You can choose between the following options:
Add = The workflow becomes active as soon as an employee creates and submits a new leave request, for example.
Edit = The workflow becomes active as soon as an employee processes an existing leave request, for example.
Delete = The workflow becomes active as soon as an employee deletes an existing leave request, for example.
Publish (only for Job item) = The workflow becomes active as soon as a job is to be published.
Close Interim Phase / Close Final Interim Phase (only for item target agreement) = The workflow becomes active as soon as an intermediate phase of a target agreement is to be completed.
Absence accounts (appears when the "Absence request" item is selected)
Specify which absence account you want to set a workflow/approval process for.

Here you can set the administrator as an exception for workflows. This will skip the default workflow for all items triggered by the administrator except his own.
